How to replace the primary hood latch on 2000 GMC Jimmy?

In order to remove the hood primary latch, elevate and sustain the hood. Unscrew the hood release cable of the primary latch followed by removing the mounting bracket bolts. Removing the main latch and attaching it to the bracket is recommended. Install the cable again and examine the work of hood latch.
