How to service the Canister Purge Valves on 2000 GMC Savana 3500?

Make sure you first disconnect the negative Battery Cable and the electrical plug from the purge solenoid for service. After that, remove the nuts that hold the purge solenoid and take the solenoid off the Intake Manifold. Location: put the purge solenoid onto the Intake Manifold and connect it with the retaining nuts. After that, put the purge solenoid electrical connector back and attach the negative Battery Cable.
