2001 Buick Century Tail Light Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the tail light assembly or back up, sidemarker, stop, and turn signal bulbs on 2001 Buick Century?
A: Start the taillamp assembly or back up, sidemarker, stop, and turn signal bulb replacement process by opening the rear compartment lid then removing the rear compartment convenience net through plastic wingnut retainers if your vehicle has them. Locate the visible plastic wingnut that holds the taillamp then pull back the rear compartment trim panel's corner to expose the hidden plastic wingnuts. Press the taillamp lens gently with light force as you remove the final plastic wingnuts from their position. First support the taillamp assembly during extraction from the rear body panel then use counterclockwise motion to uncouple and retrieve each lamp socket from the taillamp housing assembly. Install the lamp sockets by putting them into the taillamp housing assembly then twist them counterclockwise to achieve secure placement. Install the taillamp assembly into the rear body panel gently while pressing on the lens to secure its position around the plastic wingnuts. The wingnuts will remain out of sight behind the rear compartment trim panel. To reassemble the rear compartment replace the corner of the trim panel while securing all taillamp plastic wingnut retainers then reattach the convenience net when present before closing the lid.
