    Q:
How to Replace a Tail Light Assembly and Bulbs on Buick Century? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by accessing the tail lamp assembly or back up and sidemarker and stop and turn signal bulbs by first removing the rear compartment convenience net when installed. The first step involves removing the plastic wingnut holding the tail lamp and pulling back the rear compartment trim panel to access the remaining wingnuts. Lightly push against the tail lamp lens for stability during the removal of additional plastic wingnuts. Take out the tail lamp assembly from the rear body panel after removing all the wingnuts then support it properly. To access the sockets you need to turn them counterclockwise before you can get the tail lamp housing assembly and bulbs out from the sockets. Before installation insert tail lamp bulbs into their sockets if you removed them then apply clockwise rotation to attach the tail lamp sockets onto the housing until fully locked. Push the tail lamp assembly into position on the rear body panel with gentle pressure on the lens until you can install the plastic wingnut retainers. The rear compartment trim panel corner should be put back in its original position after which you should install the tail lamp plastic wingnut retainers on all remaining spots. Finally close the rear compartment after reattaching the rear compartment convenience net to its plastic wingnut retainers.
