Buick Century Back Up Light Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service the Back Up Light on Buick Century?
A: Begin the back up lamp service process by opening the rear compartment and taking off the rear compartment convenience net from its plastic wingnuts. First pull up the trim panel corner from the rear and take off the outer plastic wingnut for the taillamp. After that work with plastic wingnuts through this access point. Press the taillamp lightly to keep it in place as you remove all other plastic wingnuts. Detach the taillamp assembly from its slot in the body panel while maintaining support underneath. Then turn each lamp socket in a counter-clockwise direction to free and take out the sockets from their housing component. To install place the lamp sockets into the taillamp housing and turn them counter-clockwise to secure them in place. Place the taillamp assembly back onto the rear body panel making it touch the lens lightly during plastic wingnut installation. This taillight method will remain hidden under the rear compartment trim panel. Insert the rear compartment trim panel corner first then join and secure all plastic wingnut retainers to the taillamp unit. Fit the rear compartment convenience net to its plastic wingnut retainers before putting on the rear compartment lid.
