  A: Remove the generator (L36) by first excluding it from the battery negative cable and removing its Drive Belt. After that, remove the sight shield of the fuel injector and the fasteners that hold the generator brace in place and the brace itself. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the generator and move protective boot from the generator output bat terminal on in order to access. Take off the generator output bat terminal nut off and disconnect the battery positive lead from the generator and next apply the removal of generator mounting bolts to remove the generator from the vehicle. For installation, the location of the generator should be mounted on the engine, and install the generator mounting bolts which should be tightened down to 50 n.m ( 37 lb ft). Solder the ground terminal to the generator bat terminal, connect the wiring harness connector to the generator and then the positive lead to the generator, install the generator output bat terminal nut, tighten it to 12.5 n.m (111 lb in). Press the protective boot onto the generator output bat terminal, then install the generator brace and the fasteners tighten the brace nut to 50 n.m (37 lb ft) brace bolt to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Finally, replace the fuel injector sight shield, drive belt as well as reconnect the battery negative cable.
