  A: To replace the Starter motor you will need to disconnect the battery negative cable and hoist and support the vehicle. Loose the torque converter cover and remove the transaxle cooler line clip from the transaxle. Then remove the battery positive cable from the Starter and the wire from the blob s on the Starter. Unscrew the two bolts holding the Starter motor to the car body and pull the Starter motor out. For installation, pack the Starter motor in place and fit the mounting bolts and tighten to 43 n.m (32 lb ft). Attach the battery positive cable to the Starter, make sure the nut was tightened to 10 n.m (89 lb in) and connect the Starter motor s-terminal wire make the solenoid s-terminal nut tightened to 2.5 n.m (22 lb in). Install the torque converter cover, as well as the transaxle oil cooler clip, lower down the vehicle, and then reconnect the battery negative cable.
