The flat end of the primary hood latch/pilot pin should be cut off before removing the pin from the latch. The next step requires removal of both the secondary hood latch and its spring. Start with the installation of the secondary hood latch then insert the secondary hood spring. Fasten the hood latch onto its position while securing the spring with the pin and using a screwdriver to flatten the end of the pin. Finally, lower the hood.
