The replacement process of the rear door check begins by uninstalling both the door trim panel and water deflector first. You must detach the check from the center pillar pin then remove the inner door screw that keeps the check in place. Fit the check through the opening of the inner door panel. When installing the check find the inner panel access hole to insert the link then secure the screws to 5 N.m (45 lb in). Secure the check before installing the pin and the water deflector which needs to be followed by installing the door trim panel.
