- Q: How to replace the Ride Height Sensor and Bracket on 2001 Cadillac Eldorado?A: Raising the vehicle represents the first step to change the Ride Height Sensor and bracket. Unfasten both the link that connects the height sensor actuating arm to the suspension Control Arm and detach the height sensor connector from its vehicle harness connector. Disconnect and remove four nuts as well as the bracket which covers the height sensor. Installation of the height sensor bracket happens by placing it onto the sensor using four nuts secured at 3 nm (26 inch lbs.). Next install the height sensor with its bracket onto the vehicle through two bolts while tightening them to 6 nm (54 inch lbs.). Connect the height sensor actuating arm link to the suspension Control Arm; then lower the vehicle and adjust the height sensor.
