    A: Begin the wiper motor replacement by taking out the wiper arms along with the air inlet grille panel. First cut the transmission drive link loose from the wiper motor crank arm while using the Wiper Transmission Separator tool. Then disconnect the wiper motor electrical connector after the removal of three bolts securing the motor. During installation install the fresh wiper motor into the vehicle and keep the torque at 7.0 N.m (62 lb in) across the three mounting bolts. Follow these steps to install the wiper motor electrical connector: Assemble the wiper transmission on the crank arm past the second detent until the seal reaches maximum height of 25.5 mm (1.0 in). During installation distribute lithium-based grease (GM P/N 1050109, 1052196 or equivalent) inside the socket. To complete the procedure connect the transmission drive link to the crank arm using the Wiper Transmission Installer (J 39529) before reinstalling the air inlet grille panel followed by the wiper arms.
