How to replace the rear car speakers on 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier?

Begin by uninstalling the rear window pane trim before starting replacement of the rear speaker. Press the tab on the front of the rear speaker spacer and lift it up and out while removing it from the surface. Disconnect the electrical connector from the speaker before you remove the rear speaker spacer outside the vehicle. First detach the screws from the rear speaker and remove the rear speaker from the spacer. Through installation procedure connect the rear speaker to the rear speaker spacer while you need to follow the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Place the rear speaker screws and fasten them to the specified torque of 2 N.m (18 lb in). The electrical connector installation must begin with rear speaker attachment followed by placing the rear speaker spacer tabs into the rear shelf slots before firmly pressing the rear speaker into position until it seats completely. Reinstall the rear window panel trim as the last step of the replacement.
