How to replace the engine flywheel on 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier?

The Flywheel engine replacement process begins with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable followed by transmission removal where proper marks should be made for returning the Pressure Plate assembly to match the Flywheel balance alignment. Begin with manual transmission clutch and Pressure Plate removal before proceeding to detach the Flywheel bolts. Take off the retainer if required before removing the Flywheel. Thorough cleaning of all thread adhesive must occur on the Flywheel bolts along with their bolt holes. The supplier must install gm p/n 1052624 (or equivalent) on all Flywheel bolts using strict bolt installation directions to achieve proper retention. Screw in the Flywheel and bolts first while applying torque at 75 nm (55 ft. Lbs.) before reinstalling the manual transmission components from the clutch and Pressure Plate through the transmission while completing with the negative Battery Cable connection.
