How to replace the engine flywheel on 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier?

The replacement process for the engine Flywheel begins by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable before transmission removal while marking the Pressure Plate assembly relationship with the Flywheel for balanced assembly. The first step requires removing clutch and Pressure Plate of the manual transmission until you extract the Flywheel along with its attaching bolts for the automatic transmission. The entire thread adhesive must be cleaned from all surfaces including bolts and bolt holes of the Flywheel. The gm p/n 1052624 (or equivalent) needs to be applied according to precise instructions to all Flywheel bolts to achieve proper retention. First secure the Flywheel with bolts which should be tightened to 75 nm torque (55 ft. Lbs.). Then reinstall the clutch and Pressure Plate followed by the manual transmission and end by reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.
