Begin generator replacement by first breaking the negative terminal connection of the battery and removing the Drive Belt running accessories. Start by disconnecting the generator electrical connector then free the engine harness terminal by sliding the boot back along the cable before removing the engine harness cable nut and detaching the terminal from the stud. After pulling out the generator bolts you can extract the generator from its position. Position the generator before securing it with generator bolts that must be tightened to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Replace the engine harness terminal on the generator stud and tighten it with the engine harness cable nut to 13 n.m (10 lb ft). Afterward, wrap the boot around the generator stud. Installation ends by reattaching the generator electrical connector followed by a negative Battery Cable reconnection before reinstallation of the accessory Drive Belt.
