The first step to fix the Fuel Filler Hose of a passenger or cargo van includes disconnecting the negative Battery Cable and pumping the fuel system to relieve pressure. The vehicle should be elevated while cleaning the vent hose connection at the Fuel Tank before the fuel filler tube and clamp can be detached. Wipe the fuel filler tube connection at the Fuel Tank then disconnect the fuel filler tube together with its clamp. To service the Fuel Tank you should take out the fuel tube attaching screws and the fuel filler tube. Before installation ensure the Fuel Tank tiller neck clamps are applied with proper positioning to avoid any disconnection. Insert the fuel filler tube while securing its attaching screws and attach the fuel filler vent hose and clamp. First connect the fuel filler tube and hose while attaching the clamp then restore the Fuel Tank tiller cap before reconnecting the negative Battery Cable. Finally, inspect for leaks.
