How to replace the front center console on 2001 Chevrolet Impala?

Begin floor console replacement by removing the trim plate followed by unbolting hardware situated below the instrument panel (IP) and at the transaxle shift control lever and under the mat in the rear bin. Pull the console toward you to free its holding clips from the instrument panel then disconnect any electrical wires before taking out the console. Place the front floor console inside the vehicle then start by connecting all necessary electrical connectors. Place the console so its clips get engaged at the instrument panel (IP) before you tighten the bolts around the ip and shift control lever at the transaxle and underneath the rear floor mat to 12 n.m (106 lb in). Complete your installation by putting on the trim plate to the front floor console.
