How to Replace the Center Console on Chevrolet Impala?

You need to start your impala front floor console replacement by taking off the trim plate. Begin by removing three console bolts fixed to positions near the instrument panel (IP) and at the transaxle shift control lever and beneath the mat in the rear storage area. Reverse pull the console until it uncovers the clips from the ip and enable disconnection of electrical connectors. Before installation place the front floor console inside the vehicle then connect all electrical cables. Position the front floor console in its place before you secure the clips which need to fit against the ip. Secure the front floor console bolts to 12 nm (106 lb in) torque specification while installing them at the instrument panel (IP) and transaxle shift control lever and beneath the mat in the rear bin. Put the trim plate in position on the front floor console.
