    A: In order to replace Timing Chain and timing sprockets, one must start by removing the engine front. Introduce the Crankshaft to the order, aligning the timing marks: camshaft alignment pin and Timing Chain dampener to Crankshaft sprocket. Then, dismantle the camshaft sprocket bolt and camshaft sprocket with the Timing Chain. Process for removal of the Crankshaft sprocket, removal of Timing Chain dampener bolts and finally the removal of the Timing Chain dampener by using the Crankshaft sprocket remover (J 5825-A). Revolting, if necessary, that should remove a camshaft thrust plate bolts and thrust plate. Replace the Timing Chain and gears with new ones (observing the same color indications as for the engine oils). If the camshaft thrust plate was removed, first replace it to secure it with using the thrust plate bolts. Make use of the Crankshaft sprocket installer (J 38612) during installation and then get rid of it. Mount the Timing Chain dampener to the block and Timing Chain on the camshaft gear. Hold the camshaft sprocket if the chain drops and attach the chain to the Crankshaft gear. Ensure that the Crankshaft timing mark aligns with the timing mark on the bottom of Timing Chain dampener and align the timing mark on the camshaft gear, center line of locator hole aligns to the top timing mark on chain dampener. Form the dowel in the camshaft with dowel hole in the camshaft sprocklet and put the camshaft sprocket bolt. Coat the Crankshaft scrapper nut with engine oil, hold with a wrench and tighten the nut until it is high against the crank shaft nose flange. Coat the camshaft sprocket with engine oil and tighten the bolt 140 nm (103 ft. Lbs.). Lastly, you should install the engine front cover.
