A: Replace the engine front cover by first disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable, drain the engine coolant and oil and remove the Oil Pan, coolant recovery reservoir, crankshaft balancer, drive belt tensioner, and Power Steering Pump with lines and move the pump thereafter. First, disconnect the thermostat bypass pipe from the Timing Cover, the radiator outlet hose, remove the coolant pump, and the lower Crankshaft Position Sensor wiring harness bracket. Next, remove the bolts that hold the engine front cover (1, 2, and 3), plus the engine front cover, gasket, making sure the cover does not show any damage to the crankshaft front oil seal or gasket sealing surface. If replacing the cover then take out the drive belt shield and Crankshaft Position Sensor. For installation, in case the Crankshaft Position Sensor was removed, you should install the Crankshaft Position Sensor back on the engine front cover followed by the drive belt shield and bolt, with a torque of 10 nm (89 inch lbs). Then, install engine front cover gasket and the engine front cover, bolted by tightening bolts for both small and large nuts to 55 nm(41 ft. Lbs.), bolted by tightening to 47 nm (35 ft. Lbs.), and bolts for the linkage by 21 nm(15 ft. Lbs.). Reinstall the lower Crankshaft Position Sensor wiring harness bracket, the coolant pump, the radiator outlet hose as well as the thermostat bypass pipe and lastly the Power Steering Pump and drive belt tensioner before the crankshaft balancer and Oil Pan. Add new oil to the engine and fresh coolant to the cooling system before reconnecting the battery ground (negative) cable on the crs for ckp system variation learn operation.
