  A: To replace the upper Intake Manifold, start with removing the top part of the air cleaner assembly, draining the cooling system, and removing the brake vacuum pipe at the plenum. Then disconnect the Fuel Pressure Regulator vacuum hose from the Fuel Pressure Regulator and the PCV Valve, and then disconnect the electronic Ignition Coil and module assembly, and throttle cable bracket along with cables, evap canister purge solenoid, throttle position (TP) sensor and idle air control (IAC) sensor and fuel injector harness. After that, you have to take off the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor , the egr pipe, and inlet and outlet hoses from the Throttle Body . After that, remove the bolts and upper Intake Manifold as well as its gaskets, and clean gasket surfaces. For installation, install the upper Intake Manifold gaskets over the manifold and apply thread lock gm p/n 12345382 to the threads of upper Intake Manifold bolts and install the upper Intake Manifold bolts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Replace the MAP Sensor, the egr pipe, and the front and rear hoses of the Throttle Body. Connect the vacuum hose to the Fuel Pressure Regulator and the crankcase air valve, then follow the connection of the tp sensor, the iac and the fuel injector harnesss. Mount the evap canister purge solenoid, the electronic Ignition Coil and module assembly, and the throttle cable bracket and cables to the Throttle Body. Finally, reattach the top of the air cleaner assembly, brake vacuum pipe, fill the cooling system, check for proper levels, and check for leaks.
