Start by eliminating the lower closeout panel followed by the disconnecting of Starter electrical leads before removing the flywheel inspection shield. The Starter motor-to-engine bolts receive removal for lowering the Starter to complete uninstallation. The Starter needs to be positioned into place followed by engine bolt installation before torquing the fasteners to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Reinstall the flywheel inspection shield and connect the leads to the Starter while tightening the cable to solenoid nut to 12 n.m (106 lb in). Finish the installation by replacing the lower closeout panel then lower the vehicle while connecting the negative Battery Cable.
