How to service and repair the oil pan on 2001 Chevrolet Metro?

In order to service and repair the oil pan, elevate and place the vehicle. Drain the engine oil, and then loosen the lower engine splash shield, crank sensor and bolts on the oil pan. Wash the oil pan and re-fit it with new O-ring. Install the splash shield again, drain plug and refill the engine oil.
