How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor (24X) on 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

First switch OFF ignition power before removing the crankshaft balancer to replace Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor (24X). Write down the paths of the CKP sensor harness before removing it then disassemble the retaining clip with a bolt before detaching the sensor plug. Use bolt tools to remove the sensor's bolts before extracting the CKP sensor. After positioning the 24X crankshaft position sensor you should install it using the bolts while following the previously noted harness pathway. Insert the harness retaining clip into position through the bolt followed by tightening it at 10 N.m (89 lb in). Install the balancer on the crankshaft after you perform the CKP System Variation Learn Procedure, lower the vehicle, and connect the CKP sensor electrical connector.
