    A: First lift the vehicle while supporting it and remove the tire along with wheel before starting outer Tie Rod End replacement. Begin the process by taking out the prevailing torque nut from the outer tie rod assembly and then loosen the jam nut from the inner tie rod assembly. The universal steering linkage puller (J 24319-B) enables outer tie rod assembly removal from the Steering Knuckle while subsequent steps separate the outer tie rod assembly from the inner tie rod assembly. During installation connect the outer tie rod assembly with the inner tie rod assembly while avoiding tightness for the jam nut. Fasten the outer tie rod assembly to the Steering Knuckle before tightening it with a prevailing torque nut to a 30 nm + 120-degree rotational torque (22 ft. Lbs. + 120 degrees) while observing between 2 1/2 - 4 1/2 threads beyond the nylon washer. Complete the job by applying 70 nm (52 ft. Lbs.) of torque to the outer tie rod assembly jam nut and then reattach the tire-wheel assembly before lowering the vehicle and scheduling necessary alignment procedures.
