How to replace the Coolant Temperature Sensor on 2001 Chevrolet Prizm?

The first step in changing an engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor requires draining engine coolant before beginning work. Join the ect sensor electrical connector and extract the sensor from its location beside the upper Radiator Hose on the Cylinder Head. When installing the ect sensor position it carefully within the Cylinder Head before applying 20 n.m (14 lb ft) of torque. After refilling the engine coolant you need to reconnect the ect sensor electrical connector.
