How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2001 Chevrolet Prizm?

To remove Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor, firstly, lift and support the vehicle in an appropriate manner. Note: Remove the stone shield as well as disconnect the CKP sensor electrical connector. Next, loosen one bolt of hold down and withdraw the CKP sensor from the front cover of the engine block. For replacement, removing and reinstalling the CKP sensor should be done back into the front cover of the engine block, making sure to follow the fastener notice in Service Precautions. Fit the CKP sensor hold-down bolt and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Replace the stone shield, drop the vehicle and establish the CKP sensor electrical connector.
