How to Service the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2002 Chevrolet Prizm?

In terms of servicing the Crankshaft Position Sensor, it is necessary to first raise and support the vehicle properly. Next, unplug the CKP sensor electrical lead and unscrew the stone shield. Then, loosen the one hold-down bolt and slip out the CKP sensor from the front cover of the engine block. For installation, unplug the CKP sensor and install it back into the front cover of the engine block, making sure to consult the Fastener Notice of Service Precautions. Install the CKP sensor hold down bolt and tighten it to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Later, reattach the stone shield back to it, lower the vehicle and reattach the CKP sensor electrical connector.
