How to service the Throttle Position Sensor (TP sensor) on 2002 Chevrolet Prizm?

The first step for servicing the Throttle Position Sensor (TP sensor) requires removing the Throttle Body. Begin the service process by disassembling the tp sensor from its 2 fasteners which hold it in place against the Throttle Body. Secure the tp sensor onto the Throttle Body by using its 2 hold down fasteners while tightening them to 3.5 n.m (30 lb in). Reattach the Throttle Body to the Intake Manifold after finishing the installation steps. The tp sensor functions as an electrical element so soaking it in cleaning solutions or solvents for any reason will lead to damage.
