How to service the camshaft position sensor on 2002 Chevrolet Prizm?

The first steps for servicing the Camshaft Position Sensor are to remove the two fasteners and two plastic retainers followed by detaching the engine cover from the engine. First remove the cmp sensor by disconnecting the cmp electrical connector while taking out the cmp sensor hold-down bolt from the Cylinder Head. Install the cmp sensor inside the Cylinder Head while remembering to install the cmp sensor hold-down bolt . Tighten this bolt to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Reconnect the cmp electrical connector and return the engine cover into place by installing its 2 fasteners while tightening each one to 8.8 n.m (77 lb in). Finally, install the 2 plastic retainers.
