How to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) in the manual transmission MB4 and MB5 on 2001 Chevrolet Prizm?

Start by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable to change the Vehicle Speed Sensor in mb4 and mb5 manual transmission cars. Pull out the vss unit by detaching its electrical connector then removing the lone bolt fastener. Look for damage on the vss o-ring before ordering a new one if needed. Before fitting the new vss apply transjel transmission assembly lubricant (J36850) to the o-ring seal. Put the vss into the box-shaped container of the transaxle unit and secure it using the retaining bolt. Tighten the bolt to reach 6 nm of torque. Reconnect both electrical vss components and the battery negative wire.
