    Q:
How to service the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) on the MS7 - 4 Speed Automatic Transmission on Chevrolet Prizm? Posted by Customer
    A:
You must first disconnect the negative (-) Battery Cable to service the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) that belongs to the ms7 - 4 speed automatic transmission. First step is to disconnect the vss electrical connector before removing the retaining bolt for extracting the vss from the transaxle. The service technician must inspect the vss o-ring for damage before deciding to install a new replacement o-ring. Install the vss into the transaxle case following application of transmission assembly lubricant (J 36850) to the vss o-ring and tightening the retaining bolt to 6 nm (53 inch lbs.). End the installation by reattaching the vss electrical connector and the negative (-) Battery Cable.

    Q:
How to replace the rear wheel speed sensor on Chevrolet Prizm? Posted by Customer
    A:
You should start sensor replacement by taking out the rear seat's bottom and back section. You should not try to fix the sensor harness because the Wheel Speed Sensor operates exclusively as a complete unit. Remove the electrical connection from the Wheel Speed Sensor and properly lift the vehicle to work space. Remove the body harness pigtai for the Wheel Speed Sensor through its exit hole from the vehicle and take out the grommet. Pick the bolt to release the Wheel Speed Sensor pigtail harness from the vehicle before taking off the bolt holding the Wheel Speed Sensor itse fix the Wheel Speed Sensor onto the Steering Knuckle and fasten the rear wheel speed bolt to 8 nm (69 inch lbs.). Connect the digital harness to the vehicle with two nuts and two clips then tighten all the nuts to 5 nm (48 inch lbs.). Feeder the wheel speed pigtail over the body then install its grommet. After lowering the vehicle put in the Wheel Speed Sensor's electrical cables then return the rear seat bottom and seat back. Check the vehicle to detect any system issues using the ass method.
