How to replace the front wheel speed sensor on 2002 Chevrolet Prizm?

The replacement of the front Wheel Speed Sensor requires wheelhousing removal. The Wheel Speed Sensor requires full replacement as a standalone unit thus sensor harness pigtail service attempts are prohibited. Unplug the Wheel Speed Sensor electrical connector before you remove the fastener which secures the Wheel Speed Sensor pigtail harness through its clips. After removing the Wheel Speed Sensor retaining bolt the Wheel Speed Sensor can be extracted from the Steering Knuckle. When installing the new Wheel Speed Sensor position it onto the Steering Knuckle by using one bolt and turning it to 8 nm torque (69 inch lbs.). Connect the wheel speed wiring harness to the vehicle by installing the nut with clips and tighten the pigtail harness to 5 nm (48 inch lbs.). Attach the Wheel Speed Sensor electrical connector to its place before reinstalling the wheelhousing and conducting a diagnostic system check - abs check.
