How to replace the shock absorber (W/G65) on 2001 Chevrolet Suburban 1500?

The first step involves removing the upper Shock Absorber nut and bolt before proceeding with removal of the lower Shock Absorber nut and bolt. The Shock Absorber removal process starts with lowering the rear axle because it makes Shock Absorber extraction easier. After the Shock Absorber comes out, proceed with its complete removal. The first step for new Shock Absorber installation requires you to follow the fastener notice in service precautions while you put in the replacement absorber. You must raise the rear axle after installing the upper Shock Absorber nut and bolt so you can install the lower through bolt afterward. Lastly, put the lower Shock Absorber nut and bolt using the standard torque specifications. The installation process requires first tightening the nuts to 95 nm (70 ft. Lbs.). After that, remove the rear axle support and take away the safety stands before lowering the vehicle.
