A: The front Crankshaft Seal repair process requires the first step to separate the negative Battery Cable. Start the task by removing both the Crankshaft Pulley and the Timing Belt. A screwdriver should be used to pull the crankshaft front oil seal out. Before installing the new crankshaft front oil seal you must apply chassis grease gm p/n 1051344 that is equivalent to seal it. Use a hammer to tap the oil seal gently until it lies perfectly flat beside the crankshaft front oil seal retainer edge. Lbs.) before starting the engine.
