How to replace the rear side door check link on 2001 Chevrolet Tracker?

The first step to replace the rear side door check link is to take out the rear side door water deflector. Begin by removing the pin securing the rear side door check to the door jamb before eliminating the two bolts that attach the door check to the door structure. Once installed the rear side door check needs to pass through the inner door panel access hole where it should be bolted with the two bolts then torqued to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Finish the installation by first putting back the rear side door water deflector and secondly positioning the door check onto the jamb through the pin.
