How to disconnect and connect the negative battery cable on 2001 Chevrolet Venture?

Begin by turning off all lamps and accessories and placing the ignition into the off position before you detach or install the battery negative cable. Locate the battery ground cable and remove both cable and the bolt from the battery's inside. The Battery Cable end along with the battery terminal bolt flange should undergo cleaning for all existing corrosion before installation. Tighten the battery terminal bolt to 16 n.m (12 lb ft) before installing the battery ground (negative) cable and bolt.
