  A: When replacing battery cables, it will be helpful to make sure the new cables are of the same type, gauge, and length. Buy starting by disconnection the battery ground (negative) cable and then disconnect battery positive cable. Next disconnect the battery(positive) cable nut and cable from under the hood electrical center and then remove the battery ground (negative) cable bolt from the inner fender. Initially connect the battery positive cable and nut with the underhood electrical center with a firmness ideal with 10 n.m (89 lb in) and then the battery positive cable and bolt the battery in a firmness of 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Lastly, link the battery ground (negative) cable to the battery.
