    A: While changing battery cables, the new cables should be of the same type, gauge and length. Start by disconnecting the battery ground (negative) cable from it and later disconnecting the battery positive cable. Next, disconnect the battery (positive) cable nut and cable from the underhood electrical center, then remove the battery ground (negative) cable bolt from the inner fender. Remove the Battery Cable conduit retainers from the lower tie bar, and remove the battery ground (negative) cable nut and cable from the transaxle stud. Remove the Starter motor bat terminal nut and connect it to the Starter motor, the battery positive cable from the Starter motor to the vehicle's bat terminal and the battery ground and the battery positive cable to the vehicle. In installation, tapping the battery ground (negative) and battery positive cables to vehicle. Connect the positive cable and nut to the Starter motor bat terminal with 10 n.m (89 lb in) tightness. Then, connect the battery ground (negative) cable and nut to the transaxle stud nut, fastening it to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Replace the Battery Cable conduit retainers to the lower tie bar and attach battery ground (negative) cable and bolt to the inner fender with a torque of 5 n.m (44 lb in). Screw the battery positive cable and nut to the underhood electrical center, tightening it to 10 n.m (89 lb in), while the battery positive cable and nut attached to the battery are tightened to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). After that, connect the ground (negative) Battery Cable to the battery.
