Lift the vehicle after removing both fuel filler pipe bolts from the fuel fill pocket and after taking off the shield which covers the fuel filler pipe. Objectives for replacing the Fuel Filler Hose start with removing the fuel filler pipe bracket bolt then proceeding to detach the vent pipe before separating the wheelhouse panel screw and wheelhouse stud attaching nut. The first step requires uninstalling the Fuel Filler Hose from the Fuel Tank while removing both the fuel filler pipe and hose. The first step for installation is to connect the fuel filler pipe with hose to the Fuel Tank while making sure the fill hose has complete seat engagement. Secure the fuel filler pipe clamp to 2.5 n.m (22 lb in) torque value before installing the wheelhouse panel attaching screw to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Install the fuel filler pipe attaching nut to the wheelhouse panel followed by torquing it to 10 n.m (89 lb in).
