  A: You must first open the hood and support it before extracting the retaining clips and removing the Hood Cable from the Hood Latch. Before you remove the Hood Cable affix mechanics wire to it so the reinstallation process later will be easier. Thirdly remove the hood release handle followed by drawing the Hood Cable and grommet toward the rear of the passenger area. Drill the lead wire through to the new Hood Cable.
