How to Replace a Shock Absorber on 2001 Chevrolet Venture?

You should raise the vehicle and support the rear axle before you replace the Shock Absorber. When the vehicle uses automatic level control, take off the air tube connector from the Shock Absorber. Following that, take out the upper bolt and nut from the Shock Absorber, then remove the lower bolt and nut, and afterwards take out the Shock Absorber. Put the Shock Absorber in place first, and be sure to pay attention to the fastener notice given in service precautions. Put the Shock Absorber bolts in place and tighten the nuts to an 85 nm (63 ft. Lbs.) torque. Make sure the air tube connector is put back on the Shock Absorber on automatic level control vehicles. At last, take away the support from the rear axle and slowly lower the vehicle.
