How to replace the Brake Light Switch on 2001 GMC Jimmy?

To swap out the stoplamp switch you must first remove its Pushrod retainer on the brake pedal pin before taking out the switch and its Pushrod from the pin. Lastly disconnect the electrical connector from the switch. After attaching the electrical cable to the stoplamp switch you should install the stoplamp switch and Pushrod on top of the brake pedal pin before placing the Pushrod retainer back.
