How to replace the front door jamb switch on 2001 GMC Jimmy?

In order to change the front door jamb switch, remove the battery negative cable. Take out the instrument panel sound insulator on either side. Unplug the electric connection and take off the old switch. Install new switch, re-connect electrical connector, re-install sound insulator then reconnect battery.
