How to replace the Brake Light Switch on 2001 GMC Safari?

Start by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable to replace the stoplamp switch. First remove the retainer from the brake pedal pin after that disconnect the switch and Pushrod from the brake pedal pin then disconnect the electrical connector. Start by connecting electrical components before placing the switch together with Pushrod onto the brake pedal pin and finally installing the retainer onto the brake pedal pin. Reattach the battery negative cable as the final step.
