How to service and repair the brake light switch on GMC Safari?

Begin Brake Light Switch repair work by taking off the negative battery terminal. Unsnap the brake pedal pin retainer then pull the Brake Light Switch and Pushrod off their respective brake pedal pin brackets and disconnect the electrical connector. Plugs the electrical connector first then places the switch and Pushrod onto the brake pedal pin before inserting the retainer onto the brake pedal pin. Once done disconnect the black battery terminal.
