How to replace the negative battery cable on 2001 GMC Savana 1500?

The battery negative cable replacement process begins with removing the cable from the battery and then removing the cable lead from the inner fender panel and engine block before extracting it out of the vehicle. Put the battery negative cable in its position inside the vehicle to start the installation. Run the cable lead through the engine block before securing the bolt at 25 N.m (18 lb ft). Harden the cable lead to the inner fender panel while tightening the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Tighten the terminal bolt on the battery to 17 N.m (13 lb ft) after completing the battery negative cable installation.
