Clean the battery terminal bolt flange and Battery Cable end thoroughly before installing the battery ground (negative) cable and bolt to the battery unit by tightening the terminal bolt to 17 n.m (13 lb ft). Similar cleaning procedures should be followed for the auxiliary battery installation with terminal bolt torques matching the battery installation.
