How to replace the auxiliary positive battery cable on 2001 GMC Savana 3500?

Starting the replacement process of the positive cable requires battery negative cable disconnection from both battery terminals followed by removal of battery positive cable from the junction block. After raising the vehicle disconnect the battery positive cable retainers from the frame then proceed to remove the positive cable from the auxiliary battery before removal from the vehicle. Start by mounting the new battery positive cable onto the vehicle and linking it to the auxiliary battery while tightening it to 15 N.m (11 lb ft). Place the battery positive cable retainers on the frame before dropping the vehicle and joining the cable to the junction block while tightening its nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Finally, connect the battery negative cable to the auxiliary battery by tightening the bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft), then repeat the process to connect it to the battery at 17 N.m (13 lb ft).
