  A: The first step to install a new accumulator demands the recovery of refrigerant from the a/c system. First place the vehicle in a suitable working position then take out the coolant recovery surge tank followed by disconnecting the a/c lines from the accumulator. Remove both the electrical connectors from the low-pressure sensor before separating the accumulator along with its bracket from the vehicle. During installation fit the accumulator to the vehicle attaching the bracket while tightening screws to the Evaporator case at 6 n.m and securing a nut at the accumulator to the a/c Evaporator and blower module stud with 16 n.m torque.
